Almost a suicide
I have nearly stabbed myself by registering for the GRE on Feb 20. The gamble would definitely cost me US$140 and much more in terms of time. Although I have been preparing for more than a month now, my progress seems to be at a snail's pace. GRE is incredibly demanding on the vocabulary, and I don't feel upto the mark. It feels kind of weird to memorize dozens of new words everyday, which I would not quite be using in daily life. During the course of this preparation, I realize that I don't quite have the kind of retentiveness possessed ten years back.

Exit 2005
December 31 of each year, provides us a brief moment to halt and reflect on the past year. It is also the time to make amends and nurture new ambitions for the coming year. Time to think big and dream big. For a majority of people, it is the best excuse to engage in reveling. Looking back into 2005, it was quite a combination of failures and achievements for me. However, a change of some kind is required for that extra drive. Even though I'm a big optimist, I shall not attempt to make any new resolutions for 2006, as it is a futile effort based on my track record.
